ENDOSCOPIC DEBRIDEMENT OF PLANTAR FASCIITIS WITH HEEL SPUR RESECTION

Description

The ePoster titled "Endoscopic Debridement of Chronic Plantar Fasciitis with Heel Spur Resection: A Novel Technique with Promising Outcomes - A Prospective Cohort Study" presents findings from a decade-long study (2013-2023) investigating the effectiveness of endoscopic debridement of the plantar fascia along with heel spur resection for chronic plantar fasciitis. The study involved 18 patients (25 feet) experiencing persistent symptoms despite conservative treatment. Significant improvements were observed in postoperative AOFAS scores, indicating enhanced pain relief and improved foot function. The study suggests that this minimally invasive technique offers a promising treatment option for chronic plantar fasciitis, with potential benefits in optimizing patient outcomes while minimizing complications compared to more invasive procedures.
