Full accepted title "Postoperative Complications and Readmission Rates in Robotic-Assisted and Manual Total Knee Arthroplasty: Large, Propensity Score Matched Patient Cohorts"
Brief description: This poster examines the outcomes of robotic-assisted versus manual total knee arthroplasty (RA-TKA vs. M-TKA). Using a multi-hospital retrospective review spanning 2016 to 2022, the study compares 90-day postoperative complications, readmission rates, and emergency department (ED) visits in matched cohorts of 24,653 patients each. Results revealed RA-TKA had significantly lower readmission and ED visit rates, suggesting potential advantages in patient recovery and cost-effectiveness. RA-TKA showed fewer complications such as wound dehiscence and infections, but more ED visits due to pulmonary embolism.
