Tibial Tubercle Osteotomy does not lead to Patellar Height Change

Description

Patellar height (PH) decrease has been demonstrated following surgery at the knee, including knee arthroplasty and valgus-correcting tibial osteotomies such as high tibial osteotomy (HTO). However, patellar height changes following anteromedialization and medialization (non-distalizing) tibial tubercle osteotomy (TTO) have not yet been described. The purpose of this study is to determine if these procedures are associated with PH changes. We hypothesize that TTO would lead to a decrease in PH and patellar tendon length.
