MCL pie crusting with concomitant ACL reconstruction

Description

•The “pie crust’ (PC) technique for selective MCL release improves arthroscopic access to the posteromedial compartment.There are concerns that PC with concomitant ACL reconstruction (ACLR) might affect knee stability and outcomes postoperatively.The aim of this study was to compare the functional outcomes between PC with concomitant ACLR and isolated ACLR. Our study demonstrated PC of the MCL does not significantly change the functional outcomes of concomitant ACLR.
