Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is a potential adjuvant treatment for musculoskeletal pathologies due to its capacity to stimulate tissue repair and regeneration. However, the current evidence regarding its effectiveness remains inconclusive, despite recent high-quality studies suggesting that it can improve pain and function in the mid-term follow-up. One of the primary obstacles in the literature is the substantial variation in PRP characteristics, including platelet concentration, the presence of leukocytes, and the activation process.

Our purpose is to investigate the relationship between PRP characteristics such as platelet concentration and subject characteristics in a cohort of patients with osteoarthritis
