BTB autograft maturation after ACL reconstruction. -MRI T2 Mapping-

Description

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the maturation process of autografts following anatomical rectangular tunnel bone-patellar tendon-bone (BTB) ACLR using MRI T2 mapping. In addition, normal PCL was evaluated as a control. The T2 values of the BTB autograft decreased over time, however, they remained higher than the T2 values of a normal PCL even two years after ACLR, suggesting that at 9 months postoperatively, when the patients return to sports, the BTB autograft was likely still in the process of remodeling.
