Bone graft union after the modified ASBB procedure

Description

To investigate the influence of the position of the transferred coracoid graft and the angle of the screw on bone graft union following the modified arthroscopic Bristow-Bankart (ASBB) procedure. We reviewed 29 shoulders who underwent the modified ASBB procedure.  This study included 27 shoulders. We divided the patients into the group whose transferred coracoid graft was union at the 3 month postoperatively (Group U) and the group whose transferred coracoid graft was nonunion at the 3 month postoperatively (Group N). This study compared the presence or absence of bone union of the transplanted coracoid graft at the 3 months after the modified arthroscopic Bankart-Bristow procedure. It was suggested that the sagittal angle of the screw might influence bone graft union.
