Assessing the Reliability of the Patellar Stability Flexion Test -PSFT

Description

Patellofemoral instability (PF) not only causes pain and diminishes the quality of life but also frequently leads to episodes of patellar dislocation.

Current diagnostic methods for evaluating patellar stability may fall short in providing comprehensive assessments. To address this gap, the Patellar Stability Flexion Test (PSFT) has been developed as a novel technique.

The PSFT is grounded in the understanding that the degree of knee flexion at which patellar stability is observed can indirectly indicate inherent patellar instability; Higher flexion degrees indicate greater patellar instability.

The aim of this study is to describe the PSFT and evaluate its reliability through interobserver and intraobserver evaluations.
