Age-related changes in collagen type in quadriceps tendons

Description

Changes in type I collagen composition of quadriceps tendons classified according to physical maturity (age and epiphyseal line as reference) were investigated. The results showed that all body maturity levels had similar type I collagen composition rates. This fact suggests the potential of QT as an autograft in anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction, especially in young patients.
